What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cytotechnologist Manager Laboratory position at Clinical Management Consultants?
A great community hospital in a charming area of Northern Pennsylvania, bordering Southern New York, is now hiring for a Cytotechnologist Manager Laboratory! The Cytotechnologist Manager Laboratory will oversee the Anatomic Pathology departments of Cytology and Histology.
The Laboratory Manager Cytotechnologist will report to the Hospital Laboratory Director and will work closely with the Medical Laboratory Director. The Cytotechnologist Manager will oversee operations, Pathology Lab schedules, work to achieve Pathology Department goals, and implement new laboratory approved initiatives.
The Laboratory Manager Cytotechnologist will join a fantastic, tight-knit acute care hospital that is well respected for providing top quality patient care to their community. This organization also does little things like organizing food trucks for night shift, food markets across the street from the hospital on certain days, and the cafeteria has amazing food too.
The ideal candidate will have 6 years as a Cytotechnologist, their Bachelor’s Degree, and their ASCP certification, or willing to obtain it. Prior laboratory leadership experience is also preferred but not required. The Laboratory Manager Cytotechnologist will manage and oversee staff, as well as be able to step in to the cytology bench work if needed.
