Job Description
A leading critical access hospital located in Northwestern Washington is currently searching for an experienced and qualified General Surgeon MD to join their accredited healthcare team.
This organization provides access to world-class acute care services to its local population and surrounding areas. The inpatient services provided include cardiology, emergency medicine, orthopedics, and wound care. This system also provides various outpatient services including laboratory procedures, physical therapy, occupational therapy, radiology, chemotherapy, same-day surgery, cardiac and pulmonary rehab, nutritional counseling, home health, and respiratory care.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the MD General Surgeon will provide comprehensive patient assessment, treatment planning, conduct pre-surgical consultations, performs surgical procedures, onsite emergency services, maintains accurate patients records, collaborates with various departments, and adheres to all laws and regulations. The General Surgeon MD will participate in various quality improvement activities and helps to manage billing and other office operations.
The ideal MD General Surgeon candidate will have their Doctorate level degree or higher, medical degree from an accredited medical school, 2-3 years working in a general surgery setting, and experience working in a rural setting.
