One of South Dakota's top critical access hospitals is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking leader to join their leadership team as the Hospital Facilities Director. Reporting to the Vice President of Quality/Risk, this full-time position requires 80 hours EXEMPT per two-week pay period, with a shift from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
As the Hospital Facilities Director, you will oversee the operation, maintenance, safety, and security of all facilities and grounds. You will ensure the reliable operation of all systems and equipment, manage construction and remodeling activities, and provide technical assistance to other departments. The Hospital Facilities Director will also act as the hospital’s facilities safety and security director. Your leadership will be guided by the facility's core values, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree with at least five years of related facility services experience, preferably in hospital facilities management. Strong knowledge of engineering specifications, building and safety regulations, and federal, state, and local standards and codes is essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are preferred, as the role involves frequent interaction with staff and external vendors.
