The Manager of Social Work and Case Management will manage, evaluate and supervise activities, programs and projects in Clinical Social Work Services to achieve department goals, maintain quality patient care delivery and promote professional standards in accordance with hospital policy, JCAHO standards, and Title XXII and California regulations.
The Manager of Social Work and Case Management will complete performance evaluations and maintains accountability for their work team. The person in this role will provide clinical supervision for registered Associate Clinical Social Workers (ACSW) and / or Medical Social Worker (MSW) per the regulations outlined by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs Board of Behavioral Sciences.
The Manager of Social Work and Case Management will serve as a clinical consultant to social work team members, providing guidance and / or direct intervention in resolving challenging situations and high risk, problem-prone cases. The Manager of Clinical Social Work LCSW will assist in writing policies and procedures, in assuring the social work program’s compliance with applicable internal and external regulations, and in the development and monitoring of quality assurance programs.
The Manager of Social Work and Case Management should have at least five years of combined acute psychiatric clinical experience in medical and psychiatric inpatient settings with recent and progressively more responsible management experience leading to demonstrated fiscal, human resources, and operational efficiency competence. Current California licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is required.
