A leading critical access hospital located in southern Florida is now seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technologist to join their award-winning healthcare organization.
Located in the heart of the Florida Keys, this critical access facility offers a variety of medical and surgical services in a rural community setting. This facility is fully accredited by the Joint Commission and excels in a number of clinical areas including oncology, diagnostic imaging and lab services, emergency care, surgical and endoscopy services, physical therapy, and rehab services.
Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, the Medical Laboratory Technologist will perform a variety of complex laboratory procedures and analyses in an acute care setting. The Medical Laboratory Technologist will work as a generalist, verify patient specimens, collect patient samples, analyze test results, perform automated and manual tests, follow hospital quality assurance plans, monitor department inventory, and help train new-hires.
What Makes You Awesome:
- Graduate from an approved Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science program
- ASCP certification as Medical Lab Technologist (MLT), Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), or Medical Technologist (MT)
- Prior working experience is a plus!
