A large bed Phoenix Metropolitan Area Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Director Perioperative Services to join their growing healthcare organization.
The Director of Surgical Services will report to their Chief Nursing Officer and will be supported by 4 Nurse Managers and will be indirectly responsible for a staff of 80 FTE's.
The Nurse Director Perioperative Surgical Services will oversee all inpatient and outpatient perioperative services in this state of the art acute care medical center.
The Nurse Director of Perioperative Services will have twenty-four hour responsibility and accountability for the safe and efficient operations of all aspects of the Perioperative Services including the Operating Room, Recovery Room, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Sterile Processing and Endoscope Department.
The Inpatient department consists of 10 operating rooms and they specialize in: Orthopedics, Urology, Geriatric, Obstetrics, Gastroenterology, Ophthalmology, ENT and Pain Management. The 2 Suite Outpatient Surgery Center specializes in: ENT, Orthopedics, Vascular, Urology and Plastic Surgery.
The Nurse Director Perioperative Surgical Services will be accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physician satisfaction scores are in high ranges. The Nurse Director Perioperative Services will be accountable as a front-line supervisor for assuring all nursing staff is following the National Patient Safety Goals, Core Measure Initiatives and practice standards.
The Nurse Director Perioperative Surgical Services will work in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area, a region with an affordable housing market, excellent public school system, safe communities and numerous professional athletic teams.
