What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic position at ClinLab Staffing?
Exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic, who can work on a shift, in a fast-growing, consumer products manufacturing company, located in Hauppauge, NY. The ideal candidate for this Maintenance Mechanic position will be energetic and analytical.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Comprehend functionality of all production equipment
- Ability to disassemble equipment, evaluate parts condition, replace parts as necessary.
- Reassemble equipment after completion of inspections, testing, or repairs.
- Ability to perform basic electrical/electronic troubleshooting. Utilize a multimeter, amp meter as required.
- Perform scheduled or non-scheduled preventive maintenance including cleaning, lubrication, part adjustments/replacement, belt replacement, bearing replacement.
- Checks that machines are ready for start-up in accordance with production schedules.
- Analyze test results, machine error messages, communication with machine operators to assist diagnosis of equipment problems, confirm proper production results.
- Record repairs and maintenance performed in proper equipment logs.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- MUST HAVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE WORKING ON PRODUCTION EQUIPMENT.
- Nonwoven industry equipment experience a plus.
- Cross fold, Flatpack, Canister/Bottle Liquid filling, capping, labeling, ink jet coding, cartoner experience a plus.
- Ability to work together with team members while also being self-sufficient.
- Time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
Required Education and Experience:
- 3 – 5 years of experience in fast-paced environment
- College/ Trade School graduate or equivalent.
