Small furniture and appliance warehouse looking for an experienced, self motivated individual to come lead the warehouse operations. This would include leading a crew of 1-3 employees in the warehouse depending on the season and overseeing the loading process of the Delivery team. This would also include supervising the unloading of incoming trucks, put away and receiving process, warehouse cleanliness and organization, cycle counting and exterior cleanliness, order picking prepping and staging. The type of person we are looking for:
Punctual, Responsible, reliable, self-motivated, organized, someone who can be trusted to do the right thing even when no one is watching, even though someone is always watching. Someone with leadership experience and has no problem delegating tasks and making sure the crew is on task at all times, constantly monitoring what the crew is doing and where they are along with managing and completing their own tasks. What we are not looking for: "one of the boys" a person that blends in with the crew, we should clearly be able to tell who is in charge at all times, we should never see the lead standing around, talking with the crew, taking breaks with the crew, not be able to be located on the camera, (hiding in the isles or break room, behind the building etc.) We do not want someone who rushes out at closing time without making sure the warehouse is left clean, stocked and organized, paperwork filed where it needs to go, trashes taken out etc. This position does require the lead to step in as needed and pull and prep orders, build furniture, unload trucks themselves and receive merchandise themselves in the off seasons.
