*Besides the hourly rate of $16.64/hour, you will also be paid a bonus of $1,000 (0-3 months of service) and $5,000 (more than 3 months of service) in addition to double time for every overtime hour worked and a retention bonus of $750/month. You will earn an extra $1.85/hour for working the evening shift and $2.35/hour for night shift.

DIETARY ATTENDANT
DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This work involves responsibility for the preparation and service of food in a nursing home or health related facility. The incumbent assists in cooking and preparing of food, retrieves trays, utensils, and dishes after the meal returning them to the kitchen area where they are cleaned and stored for the next meal. Work is performed under direct supervision. Supervision of others is not a responsibility of the position. The incumbent does related work as required.
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: (Illustrative only)
Assists cooks in cleaning and preparing of food to be cooked for Nursing Home patients/residents;
Assembles food carts for servicing regular and special diets;
Transports and serves trays in patient/resident areas and may assist in the feeding of patients/residents when necessary;
Collects trays and soiled or dirty dishes after the meal;
Cleans kitchen equipment and utensils;
Scrapes dishes, pots, and pans and operates a dishwasher;
Cleans patient/resident and staff dining room;
Assists in the storing of foods, paper products, and other supplies;
May assist in inventory control.
FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
Good knowledge of sanitary procedures utilized on food preparation and service;
Working knowledge of accepted methods of food service;
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;
Ability to get along with others.
