Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with Oklahoma State Department of Education standards for Spanish
- Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that promotes student growth in speaking, listening, reading, writing, and cultural understanding.
- Incorporate authentic cultural materials and activities to foster appreciation for Spanish-speaking countries and their traditions.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Effectively assess student progress through formative and summative assessments, and provide ongoing feedback to promote student growth.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in foreign language instruction.
- Contribute to a positive and professional school climate.
Qualifications:
- Oklahoma State Department of Education Teaching License in Spanish (secondary level)
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken Spanish
- Ability to develop and implement creative and engaging lesson plans
- Effective classroom management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to student success and a positive learning environment
