Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Kinship Care Outreach Worker located in Columbus, Ohio. The Kinship Care Outreach Worker will be responsible for providing support and resources to kinship caregivers and families within the community. Responsibilities include conducting home visits, connecting families with social services, advocating for the needs of caregivers, organizing support groups, and maintaining detailed records of interactions and services provided.
Qualifications
- Experience in Social Work, Community Outreach, or related field
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to conduct home visits and connect families with social services
- Advocacy skills and experience organizing support groups
- Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of local social service resources is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Sociology, or related field preferred
