Intermediate Contract Administrator

We proudly support Veterans and welcome servicemen and women to join our team. We are currently seeking a skilled Intermediate Contract Administrator to join our team.
The Intermediate Contract Administrator will be responsible for managing and overseeing federal contracts, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and supporting various contracting activities. This role requires substantial experience in federal contracting, particularly within the Department of the Air Force, and a solid background in purchasing commercial supplies, services, and minor construction projects.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and administer requirements, solicitations, awards, modifications, and closeouts for services, supplies, and construction contracts.
- Conduct market research and provide feedback to contracting officers and customers.
- Prepare solicitation documents, acquisition packages, and other administrative documents.
- Perform post-award functions, including drafting modifications, coordinating with Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), and supporting contract closeouts.
- Utilize various IT systems, including CON-IT, DEAMS, PIEE, and Microsoft Office 365, to manage contracting processes.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other applicable regulations.
- Provide general administrative support, including file preparation, document drafting, and coordination with stakeholders.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Experience:
o Minimum of 6 years of contracting experience within a Federal Government Agency, with preferred experience in Department of Air Force contracting.
o At least 2 years of experience at base level support, including purchasing commercial supplies, services, and minor construction.
o Preferred experience in construction contracting.
- Certifications: DAWIA Contracting Professional or FAC-C Professional or equivalent.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with contracting IT systems such as CON-IT, DEAMS, and PIEE.
