CLJ is looking for an experienced Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Document Production Assistant to join our team and review and redact personally identifiable information (PII) and other sensitive data from documents in response to FOIA requests. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to FOIA guidelines, and collaboration with OCC attorneys, paralegals, and e-Discovery team.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Redact PII and non-push-up data from score sheets in extracted batches, following the provided Instruction Guide and training by OCC attorneys and paralegals.
- Consult with OCC attorneys and paralegals on redaction-related questions.
- Provide redacted score sheets in a merged file to OCC attorneys and paralegals on the first of each month until review and production are complete.
- Review potentially responsive email messages following training by OCC attorneys, paralegals, and/or the e-Discovery team.
- Redact email messages as necessary to ensure compliance with FOIA policies.
- Sign confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement.
- Perform assigned document review, redactions, and other tasks under the supervision of OCC attorneys and paralegals.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (equivalent prior military experience may be substituted).
- Experience: 2–5 years of related experience.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Pay is commensurate with experience and qualifications. If you are located in a state not listed, your offer will reflect the standard market range for your location.
