What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Clockwork Construction, Inc?
Clockwork Construction, Inc. is a General Contractor that specializes in restaurant, retail and other commercial construction projects. Currently, we are looking for an experienced Superintendent to supervise remodels, conversions and ground up projects in the San Diego, OC, LA and Inland Empire areas.
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate a proven track record of being able to finish projects on time, on budget supervising both subcontractors and self-performance labor and delivering quality projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing all onsite activities, including all aspects of general operations, compliance, logistics, and reporting.
- Coordinate, schedule and manage construction workers, subcontractors and suppliers in collaboration with the Project Manager
- Order and track tools, materials and equipment
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe job site
- Schedule and coordinate all building inspections as necessary throughout the project.
- Prepare and submit required daily and weekly documentation such as daily progress reports, safety reports, jobsite inspections as well as maintain updated project schedule
- Enforce compliance with safety standards for workers, visitors, and the public and address safety issues as they arise
- Upholding company quality and cleanliness standards
- Managing job site security
- Participating in meetings to discuss scheduling, progress, costs, logistics, etc.
- May be required to assist on self-perming trades
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience in restaurant, retail and commercial construction
- Proficient reading plans, pulling permits, inspections, and other construction documentation
- Proficient on computers and with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Strong leadership, motivational and organizational skills
- Have excellent written and oral communication skills
- Available to work extended hours as required
- Motor vehicle driving record that is consistent with company standards and policies
- Able to travel as required
Compensation: DOE plus variable bonuses based upon company and individual performance
