Job Title: Finance and Insurance (F&I) Manager
Department: Sales/Finance
Reports to: General Manager
Job Overview
The F&I Manager is responsible for securing financing for customers, offering additional aftermarket products, and ensuring compliance with legal and dealership standards. They play a key role in closing vehicle sales, optimizing dealership profitability, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Finance Management:
- Collaborate with lenders to secure financing for customers.
- Present financing options to customers, explaining loan and lease terms.
- Maximize profitability by promoting extended warranties, service contracts, and other aftermarket products.

Customer Service:
- Work closely with customers to address questions, concerns, or objections regarding financing and insurance options.
- Ensure customers fully understand all terms and conditions before finalizing contracts.

Sales Support:
- Partner with the sales team to ensure a seamless customer experience from vehicle selection to financing.
- Accurately complete and submit all paperwork for vehicle purchases, including title work and loan documentation.

Compliance and Ethics:
- Adhere to federal, state, and dealership regulations regarding vehicle sales, financing, and insurance.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer information.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, financial products, and compliance requirements.

Performance Goals:
- Meet or exceed dealership profitability targets for F&I sales.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators, such as finance penetration and product sales per deal.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
- Proven negotiation and sales skills.
- Knowledge of federal and state laws governing finance and insurance practices.
- Proficiency in F&I software and dealership management systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an automotive dealership.
- Experience with Reynolds and Reynolds and Route 1.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Previous experience in automotive finance or sales.
- Certification as an F&I Professional (e.g., AFIP Certification).
