We are in search of a Continuous Improvement Technician for our Mountaintop, PA facility.
Summary:
The purpose of this function is twofold:
- Lead, manage, and assist Associates in all areas of the company to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, On-time Delivery, and the Value Added Ratio.
- Initiate process improvements, conduct analyses, compile reports, and drive overall continuous improvement while working in teams or individually.
Essential Functions/Accountabilities
Continuous Improvement
Will lead and participate in initiatives to improve Safety, Quality, Cost, & On-time Delivery using a variety of I.E./P.E. methods.
Will perform process analyses to identify sources of waste in manufacturing and office processes.
Will educate, train and assist others in identifying and eliminating non-value added activities within our processes.
Will demonstrate excellent leadership qualities and professionalism at all times when interacting with any Associate.
Will cooperate with all departments to assure that Best Practices are implemented seamlessly and efficiently.
Project Management
Will proactively search for the best methods to manage and control costs on assigned projects.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated judgment and decision making, as well as the capability to take projects from the conceptual stage to completion.
- 2 Years of experience in Kaizen activities.
- American Society for Quality (ASQ) CQT or CSSGB preferred.
- Must demonstrate excellent analysis and leadership skills.
