What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAREGIVER Opportunity : 12-hour shift on SATURDAYS position at Close To Home Caregivers - Sarasota, FL?
We are currently seeking a Caregiver to provide assistance to an elderly woman with dementia on SATURDAYS from 8 : 00AM to 8 : 00PM. She lives in a memory unit in south Sarasota. She needs companionship and guidance that the facility is not staffed to provide. She’s a pleasant person but the effects of dementia mean that she can be moody and in need of persistent coaxing (to eat, to go for a walk, to use the bathroom, etc.).
Responsibilities :
- Monitoring the client’s condition while providing companionship.
- Accompanying her to meals and encouraging her to eat.
- Assisting her with toileting – helping to change her and cleaning her as needed.
- Walking with her within the facility, something she enjoys.
- Writing shift notes describing the events of each shift.
