As an Edge Band Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining edge banding machinery to ensure high-quality finishing of wooden panels and components. Your role will involve setting up machines, adjusting parameters, and performing routine maintenance to ensure smooth operation and top-notch results.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate edge banding machines according to production requirements and specifications.
- Inspect and adjust machine settings to ensure precise edge banding.
- Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment to prevent downtime.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to determine specifications and materials. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety standards and protocols. Record production data and report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
- Proven experience operating edge banding machines or similar woodworking equipment.
