Training for all incoming Designers
No matter what you'd like to title yourself, this is a Sales Consultant position. Yes, Design is a huge part and the part that we can provide training for but the personality and drive it takes to be a great Sales Consultant is largely on how you are wired.
For the right candidate, we will invest in up to 1 full year of hands-on training with our design tools, unlike the typical 2 weeks of training provided at other design firms.
Both Inside Sales (salary) and Outside Sales (commission will work out of our Tigard Showroom. You will assist both local clients and clients across the nation with space planning, organization & design decisions. Every day brings a variety of design projects: master walk-in closets, kitchen pantries, children's nurseries, custom wine cellars, garage systems and more! You will assist in taking inbound calls from national customers with design requests and/or questions regarding our products and services.
Our showroom is open Monday - Saturday and staff rotates Saturdays.
The ideal candidate will have:
- a basic understanding of design concepts
- be passionate about organization & home improvement
- have excellent written & oral communication skills
- be very organized & be a great listener
- have a keen eye for detail
- understand sales pipeline management skills to successfully work with multiple clients
- have a “social pulse” as we rely heavily on social media to market our products & services
- be available on Saturdays
Duties highlights include but are not limited to:
- Successfully manage multiple design projects at once while maintaining sales pipeline
- Collaborate with clients to determine project requirements, goals, and budget
- Develop design concepts and present them to clients for approval
- Create detailed drawings, renderings, and specifications using CAD software such as AutoCAD
- Collaborate with clients to select appropriate materials, finishes, furniture, and accessories for each project
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and other professionals to ensure the successful execution of projects
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in design software and techniques
We provide comprehensive training with our design tools, however, experience with CAD design tools will put you ahead of the curve: 2020, Cabinet Vision, KCD, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Chief Architect and/or other

Pay: $40,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
