Overview:
We are seeking a Human Resource Business Partner to work with our client. This role focuses on partnering with leadership to address complex employee relations issues while leading initiatives in organizational development, training, and compliance.
Duties:
- Strategic partner to practice area staff by providing advice and guidance on a wide range of issues including organizational development, training & development, staffing, performance management, and employee relations.
- Continuously aligns human resource practices and objectives to support practice area business goals and strategies.
- Acts as both a practitioner and liaison to core corporate human resource services.
- Works closely and collaboratively with other human resource functional leads in the areas of benefits, payroll, and staffing.
- Responds as employee relations counsel and management.
- Responsible risk mitigation & management
- Assist supervisors in the on-boarding process for new staff
- Assists with policy development and interpretation.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Assists with curriculum design and training facilitation.
- Works collaboratively with HR staffing consultants and practice area leadership to develop and support strategic labor plans.
- Works on organizational analysis and development
- Assists in acquisition management and integration of new staff/business lines.
- Special projects as assigned
Mandatory Qualifications:
- 7 years of experience as a human resources business partner. Demonstrated experience working in collaboration with a wide range of managers and employees to resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Experience in both an operations-focused and professional services environment strongly preferred. Experience in a growing, high-performing, high demand customer-facing environment. Experience and independence in remaining current with HR best practices.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Demonstrated skill in the areas of employee relations, policy development & interpretation and performance management in a multi-site environment.
- Proven ability to identify and analyze trends, making sound action plans as a result.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office
- Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to ensure compliance with relevant state, federal and local employment laws.
- Proven ability to quickly establish credibility and build relationships.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to independently manage simultaneous projects with multiple deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written professional communication skills.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
- Highly developed listening, analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality on sensitive materials and issues.
- Ability to facilitate discussions and meetings; strong knowledge of training and facilitation techniques; excellent presentation skills.
- Proven ability to coach and empower supervisory staff relative to correctly interpret and implement relevant HR policies & procedures.
