Overview:

Our client is seeking a Project Manager (PM) with a strong background in Security and Governance, specifically SOC and NIST, to support Information Security and Infrastructure Operations leaders in managing project timelines and deliverables. The PM will leverage existing documentation from the SOC audit and address any identified gaps.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Organization:
  • Develop a project plan and timeline in collaboration to ensure compliance with required deadlines.
  • Identify and engage stakeholders from DOH to align expectations and define requirements.
• Team Coordination and Management:
  • Organize cross-functional teams, including technical and business SMEs, to address and document controls.
  • Facilitate regular status meetings to track progress, address roadblocks, and manage updates.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for DOH and other external stakeholders regarding project progress.
• Documentation and Submission:
  • Manage the collection, review, and validation of documentation for 400 security controls.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely submission of attestation materials to DOH.
• Risk and Issue Management:
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project timelines or outcomes.
  • Escalate issues as needed and propose actionable solutions to stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Communication:
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project milestones, risks, and achievements.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment on project objectives and priorities.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience managing complex projects and working with SMEs and stakeholders.
• 2 years of experience leading system security plans.
• Proven experience managing SOC audits, GCR projects, or similar compliance initiatives.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging both technical and non-technical teams.
• Knowledge of security compliance frameworks and best practices.
• Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and MS Project

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with attestation processes or security frameworks in a healthcare or government setting.
• Familiarity with data exchange protocols and security standards.
