Overview:
We are seeking a Recruitment Manager who will report to our Director of Talent Management. This position will focus on training, development, and management of our recruiting team members, as well as continuing to improve our recruitment services delivery and operations. The Recruitment Manager will be responsible for ensuring the recruitment pipeline of candidates is strong and accurately represents the caliber of skill sets that Cloud and Things needs to fulfill its client requests and working with recruiters to ensure they have an understanding of the client environment or specific needs. In addition, this person will be responsible for developing recruiters that deliver at scale, to meet the demands in an agency environment. You will be expected to drive talent identification and attraction strategies and supporting recruiters in meeting their benchmarks and performance expectations. This person will have the opportunity to draw on their extensive knowledge of technical recruiting to help develop high preforming recruiters.
This position combines operational management with recruitment expertise, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and the effective hiring of top talent to meet project and client needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in workforce planning, operational efficiency, and talent acquisition within the government, IT consulting, or agency recruiting sector. Duties:
- Oversee daily recruitment management and recruiting operational activities to ensure accuracy, efficiency and alignment with team goals.
- Manage resource allocation, and workflows to optimize productivity for all involved.
- Coordinate between teams to address operational challenges and streamline processes as and when required.
- Monitor, manage and update key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve operational performance of the department.
- Ensure compliance with government or client requirements or regulations as well as company policies in all departmental activities.
- Develop or enhance (as and when required) recruitment strategies tailored for our public sector clients and execute a successful implementation.
- Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
- Build and maintain relationships with candidates, external recruiting partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Coach and manage the recruiting team to ensure that goals are met, leading by example to help train on recruiting best practices.
- Ensure the quality of data in the Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) entered by the recruitment team with the goal of accuracy, completeness, and usability for dashboards and reporting.
- Ensure the efficient and effective use of job boards like LinkedIn, Indeed, Dice, Monster, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Technology or a related field.
- 5 years’ experience in operations management and recruitment, particularly in IT consulting, agency recruiting, or government projects.
- At least 2 years of proven track record managing a successful recruiting team.
- Strong understanding of government contracting processes and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders, as well as strong attention to details.
- A growth mindset with the desire to continuously improve processes, leverage the tools available and improve the service quality standards.
- Background working in an agency recruiting firm focusing on IT for government (State and Local).
- Previous experience as a Resource Manager or Operations Manager.
- Hands-on consulting experience in the IT or government sectors.
- Familiarity with operational efficiency best practices and process optimization.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and recruitment platforms.
