We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our Concierge Primary Care family practice in Santa Fe!

As a Medical Assistant, you will be part of our Clinical Care Team, and a culture of excellence.
You will work daily providing direct patient care, assisting the development of life-long well-being, and health for our patients. The Medical Assistant role is essential in the patient care we offer and assists physicians and other office staff members by providing a unique blend of skills and knowledge to carry out prescribed medical treatment.
Medical Assistants are multi-skilled health professionals, responsible for performing administrative and clinical tasks in our primary care facilities all while delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive patient engagement. In our office this includes (but is not limited to): rooming patients, taking vitals, obtaining medical history, verifying medications, placing orders following visits, assisting in minor in-office procedures, point of care tests (EKG, A1C, UA, swabs, ultrasound, gynecology procedures etc.), administering injections, documentation, and other ancillary patient care tasks.

Speed is not the name of the game when it comes to our daily schedule, longer appointment times allow for comprehensive care. Our patients have 24/7 access to someone on our care team, patients are able to contact us directly with immediate needs and questions. The ideal MA will help follow up on our patients, assist with scheduling appointments, coordinating specialty services and going above and beyond for patient needs.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from an accredited Medical Assistant program
- At least one year of experience working as a medical assistant in a clinic or hospital setting
- Must be able to pass a background and drug test
- CPR certification – or willing to obtain within 30 days of employment
- Must have reliable transportation
- 1 yr experience with EMR (EPIC and or Elation preferred)
- Skills: Vital Signs, patient interview, procedure assist in office, medication administration and/or injections.
- Detail oriented documentation
Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy experience preferred
- Experience with prior authorizations, insurance communication, and patient education
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Current CMA standing, NM preferred, USA required

This is an in-person position in Santa Fe Monday - Friday, expected hours are 40 hours per week, opportunity for overtime occasionally.
