Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Principal Software Engineer with specialized knowledge and experience in KDB, a powerful real-time database designed for capturing, storing, and analyzing large volumes of data. We require highly skilled individuals who possess a strong background in KDB and possess exceptional leadership and project management abilities. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a profound understanding of the KDB language. In this position, the selected candidate will play a crucial role in driving the development and successful implementation of software solutions utilizing KDB to address our organization's unique requirements"
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain KDB solutions for time-series data analysis.
- Work on real-time data processing and analytics for large-scale, high-frequency data systems.
- Develop and optimize queries, scripts, and processes for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions that align with business objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in KDB environments.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on time-series data analysis.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5-10 years of hands-on experience with KDB /Q programming and time-series databases.
- development experience with q/KDB programming, Python, Scripting (Shell/Perl), Unix or Linux, SQL/Relational Databases, such as Oracle, is required
- A deep understanding of various programming languages
- Proven track record of building and managing scalable, high-performance data systems.
- Strong understanding of real-time data processing and analytics workflows.
- Experience crafting, building, and deploying applications in a DevOps environment using CI/CD pipeline; experience with Git/Bitbucket Server (Stash), Jenkins, and uDeploy etc
- Experience in financial services, trading, or other industries with large-scale data is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with tools and technologies for data visualization and reporting.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Good Project management skills
