CMM Programmer

Position- CMM Programmer / Operator Quality Inspector
Location- Rockville, CT
Job Type- Full time (Morning Shift)
Industry- Aerospace

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Programming CMM Inspection machinery with PC DMIS Software
• Inspection of complex and intricate mechanical parts and fixtures using CMM Machine
• Determine acceptable quality of parts and notate the reason for any rejections
• Use existing and create new inspection setups to check dimensional requirements pertinent to product design
• Assist in resolving day-to-day inspection problems regarding methods, devices, and corrective action
• Work from complex and involved drawings and specifications
• Perform surface plate inspection as required to obtain or validate key features

Qualifications:

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in manufacturing inspection (will consider someone with a formal accredited apprenticeship or equivalent training in a section of related trades).
• Experience with PC DMIS, CAD tools, GD&T, and general CMM programs.
• CAMIO experience not required but will be a big PLUS
• Working knowledge of various handheld inspection devices as well as coordinate measuring machines
• Ability to interpret manufacturing process sheets
• Highly organized and able to cross train in different areas of the shop
• Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as deemed necessary by supervisor to meet customer demands
• Excellent attention to detail and able to work independently

Schedule:

• 8-hour Shift
• Day Shift
• Monday to Friday with overtime available as needed

Education:

• High school or vocational graduate

Experience:

• Manufacturing Engineer: 3-5 years (Required)
• Aerospace industry: 3-5 years (Required)
