Job Summary
The Director of Nursing will oversee all nursing operations within the healthcare facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership skills and in-depth knowledge of nursing practices and regulations.
Duties
- Manage and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Conduct regular documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in complex patient cases
- Oversee nursing administration tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
Skills
- Proficient in healthcare systems and medical terminology
- Experience in hospice care, acute care, assisted living, or similar settings
- Strong leadership abilities with the capability to manage a diverse team of nurses
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to review and analyze nursing documentation for quality assurance purposes
