What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Estimator position at Clough Projects Pty Ltd?
We have an exciting opportunity for a Chief Estimator to join the Project Team in Perth! In this role, you will be responsible for all estimates generated in support of tenders and validation of ongoing works. To ensure the accuracy of estimates prepared to provide technical guidance in the estimates, to be able to provide validation through extensive experience in the Estimating Field via validated benchmarks and industry norm. To direct a team of estimators through their daily duties. To build on bench strength and provide clear and insightful market assessments to cost and productivity.
Webuild is the preferred bidder for the design and construction of the Women and Babies Hospital in Perth, Western Australia. This landmark project will replace the century-old King Edward Memorial Hospital and expand services and choice for women, newborns and families, delivering lasting benefits and a positive legacy for the people of Western Australia.

Your focus will include:
Oversee the preparation of estimates, submission of tenders
Ensure costs for estimates are based on realistic timing and cost structures
Liaise with external consultants and Subcontractors
Review all estimates prior to submission
Manage investigation and analysis of detail estimates and projects for factors and costs
Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and planning authorities to ensure satisfactory completion of structures and construction work
What you will bring to the team:
15 ( ) years in the Infrastructure/Construction industry
10 ( ) years’ experience working as an EPC or Construction contractor
Possession of tertiary qualifications in the engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in the engineering and building or Infrastructure/Construction industry
Considerable experience as an Senior Estimator, in tender preparation for contracts congruent with the Company’s operations
Proficiency in the use of the different Estimating software’s
Demonstrable leadership capabilities, communication, coaching, mentoring and developing the estimating team
Preferred to have engineering, construction experience with an Infrastructure focus in conjunction with a Senior Estimators role
Management of multidisciplinary projects and project teams
Contemporary practices in design and construction methodology
Experience in Construct Only, Design & Construct, Managing Contract, Alliance, joint Ventures, Alliances & PPP Contracts types
