Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse - Endoscopy to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the process.

This is a contract position based in Ithica, NY

4x10s or 5x8s,

On call will be two weekends Fri 7pm til 7am Sat, All day Sat and all day Sun in 13 weeks.

One on call shift during a weekday. Should be within 30 minutes away if there is a case to do.

Duties

• Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after endoscopic procedures.
• Administer medications and provide necessary interventions as per established protocols.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and infection control protocols during procedures.
• Educate patients and their families about pre-procedure preparations and post-procedure care.
• Document patient information accurately in medical records.
• Perform gastric lavage as needed, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Provide health coaching to patients regarding lifestyle changes that may impact their health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in NY
• Experience in acute care settings preferred; familiarity with endoscopy procedures is a plus.
• 2 years RN experience
• BLS certified
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
