About The Team
Clover's Cloud Platform Engineering team is the heart of our engineering ecosystem, responsible for building and maintaining scalable, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems that support our mission to provide seamless, customer-centric experiences across our Point of Sale platform.
What You Will Do
- Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 Platform Engineers spanning Senior to Staff levels
- Collaborate with infrastructure, quality, and release teams to design scalable service platforms
- Work closely with application teams to understand requirements and drive platform evolution
- Establish technical vision balancing short and long-term goals
- Foster a culture of engineering excellence and team empowerment
- Scale systems through automation to improve reliability and development velocity
- Oversee team projects from inception to completion
- Lead blameless postmortems to ensure thorough incident remediation
What You Will Need To Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 8 years of industry experience in Software Engineering
- 2 years of experience in engineering leadership
- Strong programming experience in Java, Python, Go, or C
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Ability to manage complex technological ecosystems
