What are the responsibilities and job description for the Midwest Sales Manager- FoodService position at Cloverdale Foods Company?
The Midwest Area Sales Manager (ASM) is responsible for developing the food service business within the Midwestern region (Chicago, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, St. Louis, etc.). Will work closely with operators and distributor sales representatives to gain new placements and add SKUs to existing customers. The ASM will report to the Director of Food Service Sales. Easily adaptable to a new environment, and who has a successful track record of closing sales is a must. The ability to inspire and motivate is a requirement, as an area sales manager will be mentoring a team of Distributor sales and Broker reps to achieve sales targets. By building an efficient and productive team, the role of an area sales manager involves proficiency in an assortment of skills including communication, negotiation, and problem-solving.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field OR
- Comparable record of sales leadership experience is required.
- Required 2 years of Sales Experience in the Food Service Industry, preferably within food sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Self-motivated, excellent organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with sales representatives to gain new placements
- Guide a team of sales representatives to meet the sales targets set by the company
- Provide the right training to the sales team by acting as a training sales manager
- Foster a strong relationship with existing and potential clients and resolve any customer queries.
- Utilize different modes and channels of communication to reach the target audience effectively
- Monitor the performance of the area sales reps and tweak the sales strategies to achieve sales targets
- Provide pricing and programs to Distribution and end users.
- Educate Sales reps and customers on Cloverdale products.
- Understand and be able to communicate Pork Market conditions and how it affects the business
- Understand best practices of cooking and presenting Cloverdale Products
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Performs other duties as assigned
