Job Description
Purpose : _
The Shipping Associate maximizes customer experience by providing excellent customer service through the management of less than truckload and parcel shipments. The Shipping Associate coordinates cost-effective distribution of life sustaining water products as well as providing support for all areas of the Shipping Dept.
Key Performance Indicators :
Employee Experience : 99% accuracy on all LTL and parcel shipments
Leadership : Complete two professional development activities per year
Core Functions : _
Administrative (70%) : Diligently verify all LTL and parcel shipment information, assign material to appropriate carriers, input data into the transportation system, and validate accuracy of LTL shipping documents prior to shipment. Thoroughly research email requests, ensuring a 24-hour turn-around on all correspondence.
- Actively communicate with the sales department and production floor to confirm hot order timelines and customer satisfaction is met. Proactively maintain accuracy on record retainment.
Customer Service (10%) : Cultivate relationships with internal / external customers to inspire superior customer satisfaction by effectively communicating all transportation information. Diligently greet all incoming visitors, assess their needs, and actively direct them to the appropriate personnel.
Departmental Duties (20%) : Improve versatility of the Shipping and Receiving Depts by providing the required support for other critical roles within the departments through cross-training and job shadowing.

Microsoft office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Education & Experience : _
Required : H.S Diploma or G.E.D & 1 year of administrative support experience.
Preferred : H.S Diploma or G.E.D & 2 years’ shipping experience.
