The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience in research studies and hold a diagnostic photography certification. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ophthalmic diagnostic imaging, including fundus photography, fluorescein angiography, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and ultrasound imaging.
- Assist in clinical research studies by ensuring accurate data collection and imaging for study protocols.
- Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Work closely with ophthalmologists, researchers, and clinical staff to provide diagnostic support for patient care and research.
- Ensure compliance with research protocols, regulatory guidelines, and patient confidentiality standards.
- Document and maintain patient records, imaging results, and study data accurately.
- Educate patients on procedures and provide excellent patient care throughout diagnostic testing.
- Stay updated on advancements in ophthalmic imaging technology and research methodologies.

Requirements
- Certified Ophthalmic Diagnostic Technician (CODT) or equivalent certification in diagnostic photography.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in research studies related to ophthalmology.
- Proficiency in ophthalmic imaging techniques, including fundus photography, OCT, fluorescein angiography, and ultrasound.
- Strong understanding of clinical research protocols and data management.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Travel to other CLS clinics may be required.
- Experience working in a multi-specialty clinic or academic research setting.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) and research data systems.
