What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief / Senior Estimator position at CLT Recruiters?
Currently seeking a Senior Estimator for a Commercial General Contractor located in Suffolk County, working on commercial, academic, and government projects.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Administration, or equivalent related work experience.
Responsibilities of the Estimator :
- Organizational skills as required to manage multiple projects
- Comprehensively analyze plans, specifications, proposals and additional documentation to prepare bid estimates.
- Review, create, submit quality estimates with detailed proposals
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, job site walk-throughs, etc.
- Must maintain professional working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and peers
- Review project data of historical labor productions, equipment and material costs
- Pre-construction activities including submittals, contract approval and job setup
- Follow-up with awarded contracts as assigned. This may include estimating extra work items, change orders, credits, procuring materials, etc.
