What are the responsibilities and job description for the Chief Estimator position at G&E Partners?
Collaborating with a leading General Contractor in the New York Metropolitan area, we seek a Chief Estimator to lead our estimating department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead & Mentor – Directly manage and develop the regional estimating team through coaching, training, and best practices.
- Bid Strategy & Accuracy – Oversee bid reviews to ensure precise, competitive, and innovative estimates aligned with company costs.
- Risk Mitigation – Identify project risks, assess financial impacts, and develop proactive strategies to minimize exposure.
- Client & Market Growth – Execute sales strategies, build strong relationships with key clients, and target high-value projects.
- Cost Analysis & Innovation – Analyze construction trends, explore alternative methods, and drive cost-efficient solutions.
- Industry Engagement – Represent the company in industry events, client meetings, and community relations to enhance brand reputation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- At least seven (7) years of construction experience.
- Experience with mentoring or leading a team.
- Extensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations specific to public works projects in New York.
