Aquatics Lifeguard Program Instructor

Job Description:  Lifeguard Program Instructor   Job Purpose: Actively sell, market and promote Club Fit Lifeguard Training Courses Responsible for teaching the following: Red Cross Lifeguard Training courses  Plan, organize, and implement high quality training courses, following Red Cross protocols to ensure an outstanding Lifeguard Training program.   Responsibilities: Market, promote and sell Lifeguard Training courses by: making telephone calls to ensure registration and participation in every offered course, confirming course dates and times with each participant, completing and submitting required documentation to the Red Cross in a timely fashion, providing certification documentation to each participant in a timely fashion, actively seeking referrals, adhering to Red Cross standards Be familiar with American Red Cross Lifeguard Training manual and know how to use course materials effectively Provide for the health and safety of participants, including ensuring that all teaching and practice areas are free of hazards, and that materials and equipment are safe Communicate to Aquatics Director (prior to-before course start date) if there are any schedule changes. Submit records and reports to the Aquatics Director within 24 hours of course completion.  Perform an equipment check form and turn into aquatics director after every course.  Responsible for achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term client retention in line with company vision and values.   Professional and Technical Knowledge: Current Red Cross Lifeguard Trainer certification Thorough knowledge and application of lifeguarding skills in accordance with the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course. An understanding of Club Fit facility characteristics, rules, policies and procedures  Leadership and public relations skills Complete all Club Fit compliance training in 1Huddle Communication skills Decision-making skills Ensure professional, proper and clear communication with members, co-workers, American Red Cross and Aquatics Director.   Contributes to Team Effort: Always exhibit professional appearance and behavior Be enthusiastic and have fun.   Requirements: Teach courses that have a minimum of 4 registered participants and at least 2 courses per year. Must have current LGT Instructor/CPR at all times.   Reporting Structure: Direct line to Aquatics Director   Pay Range COMMISSION 28-30%
