Summary
Clubhouse Kids is seeking to hire a part-time assistant to support our kitchen / CACFP Food Program!
Clubhouse Kids serves breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack to 53 children per day.
This job opening is for 12.5 hours per week and is from 1 : 30pm-4 : 00pm, Monday-Friday, Year Round.
Duties
Washing all dishes using basic commercial dishwasher, handwashing large items as needed
Cleaning kitchen surfaces equipment
Sweeping mopping kitchen floors regularly
Supporting our CACFP Chef in preparing food ingredients for the next day's meals, which could include chopping produce, cooking proteins, baking, etc
Putting orders away as needed onto shelves and fridge / freezers
Taking trash, recycling, compost out
Requirements
Must be willing to complete ServSafe food safety training
Must be able to stand for 2.5 hours through work shift
Must be able to lift 50 pounds safely within routine work tasks
Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age,
Must pass a criminal background check through the VT Childcare Development Division
High School Diploma or completion of a GED
Must have workplace literacy skills including being able to read, write, and keep legible records
Intermediate math skills such as measurement conversion and calculating servings / recipes on a large scale (50 children)
Must have good time management and organizational skills
Must be okay with working in a childcare setting, with young children. Kitchen is separated from classrooms, but the cook delivers food and picks up dishes from classrooms.
