With two global locations, Cludo is excited to open a position of Engineering Manager in our Copenhagen office.
About the role
As an Engineering Manager, you would lead a team of 5-7 engineers (Backend, Frontend, and DevOps). You would also take ownership over the Cludo underlying platform in both operational and strategic capacities. You will drive change and growth both within your team and on a company level. This role is 50/50 between leadership and contributing, with a clear track towards a CTO role in the future.

What we need to see from you
Tech must-haves:
- Strong background in one of the mainstream backend languages (Python, GO, .Net)
- Elasticsearch
- RabbitMQ (or alternative)
Tech nice-to-haves:
- .NET Ecosystem (.NET Framework 4 , .NET Core, .NET 8 )
- JS, TS, Angular/React
- ML, NLP, LLM
- Python
System architecture, DevOps, Cloud:
- Event-Driven architectures
- Microservices
- Containerization and Orchestration
- CI/CD
- Cloud (AWS)
Leadership:
- Experience leading teams, including remote/hybrid setup
- History of positive impact on customer experience and business results
- Ability to communicate and articulate crisply at all levels, from executive staff to individual contributors
What would make you stand out?
- Understanding of search engines on conceptual levels (query-rewriting, relevance, recall, bag of words, TF-IDF and bm25, vector search, hybrid, etc.)
- Understanding of crawlers on conceptual levels (sitemap processing, updating existing pages, collecting targeted properties from pages, async crawling, etc.)
- Understanding of SaaS business model and practices
