Responsibilities:
- Independently manage the full lifecycle of pharmaceutical publication projects (e.g., journal articles, abstracts, posters, presentations) from initiation to completion.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to deadlines and financial constraints.
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including medical writers, editors, researchers, clinicians, and client stakeholders.
- Manage and track project deliverables, ensuring high quality and compliance with relevant industry guidelines (e.g., ICMJE, GPP3).
- Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues, developing and implementing effective solutions.
- Facilitate project meetings, providing clear agendas, documenting key decisions, and following up on action items.
- Manage vendor relationships, including external medical writing agencies, publishers, and other relevant partners.
- Ensure all project documentation is organized, up-to-date, and readily accessible.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage the review and approval processes for publications, ensuring timely feedback and adherence to client requirements.
- Maintain a strong understanding of pharmaceutical publication processes, regulations, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing the development and publication of scientific and medical content (journal articles, abstracts, posters, presentations).
- In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical publication guidelines (e.g., ICMJE, GPP3) and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent project management skills, including proficiency in project planning software and methodologies.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- Experience working with medical writers, editors, and other publication-related professionals.
- Familiarity with electronic data management systems and document management processes.
