Base Salary : $65,000 - $75,000 / year competitive bonus potential

Join Clyde's Restaurant Group as an Events Sales Manager (Senior Event Manager) at Clyde's of Gallery Place, a bustling restaurant in the heart of Gallery Place next to the Capital One Arena, offering a vibrant dining experience. This position primarily focuses on sales while leading and overseeing an Events Manager who is responsible for event execution.

The ideal candidate has events sales experience at high volume venues such as hotels, conference venues, restaurants, or catering companies. Relevant roles include Events Sales Manager, Catering Sales Manager, Conference Sales Manager, or similar positions.

This onsite position requires availability for evening and weekend events, with a flexible scheduling policy that provides two days off each week to support work-life balance.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN AN EVENTS SALES MANAGER

  • 3 years of experience selling, booking, and executing events - required
  • Restaurant experience is preferred but not required
  • A flexible schedule with the ability to work some weekends and evenings
  • A commitment to ensuring superior customer service

  • WHAT YOU WILL DO AS AN EVENT SALES MANAGER

    Lead the events department, providing strategic direction and oversight, while managing an Events Manager responsible for event execution.

    Event Sales - 80%

  • Identify qualifying business potential, close business, overcome objections, negotiate, upsell, and understand the client's needs
  • Build and maintain client database to ensure repeat business
  • Manage business on the books successfully and work pipeline of inquiries, prospects, tentative and definite bookings
  • Respond to private event inquiries, manage calendar, and ensure events are appropriately booked
  • Event Management - 20%

  • Correspond and communicate with private event guests and strategically plan, orchestrate, communicate, and ensure exceptional execution of events
  • Coordinate all logistical event details including site inspections / tours, tastings, vendor meetings, day-of onsite client contact, menus, and room layout
  • Make confirmation calls to guests, make recommendations, and ensure menus and guest counts are finalized
  • Ensure that food and beverage minimums are met
  • Diligently keep contracts, BEOs (Banquet Event Orders), and payments for all events managed, on time and organized
  • Lead BEO meetings, communicate confirmations and updates, and ensure that BEOs are communicated clearly to managers and kitchen
  • Provide outstanding customer service, respond to complaints or feedback, and resolve issues quickly
  • Hire, train, and lead the banquet / events staff
