Job Description:
As a GIS Analyst at CFB, you will play a key role in developing, managing, and analyzing geospatial data to support our project managers and engineering/surveying team. Your expertise in GIS software, spatial analysis, and data visualization will ensure the seamless execution of mapping and analytical tasks. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams will contribute to the success of our projects.
- Perform spatial analysis, geoprocessing, and data visualization to support project needs.
- Create detailed maps, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize GIS tools to analyze geographic data and identify patterns and trends.
- Automate workflows and enhance GIS processes using scripting languages such as Python or ModelBuilder.
- Conduct data quality control (QC) checks and troubleshoot GIS-related issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS solutions into broader business operations.
- Support field data collection efforts using GPS and other geospatial tools.
- Create, deploy and maintain web-based application in AGOL and Enterprise environments.
- Provide technical assistance, training, and guidance to junior GIS staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience with Esri Software.
- Scripting skills in Python, SQL, or relevant programming languages.
- Experience in data management, geodatabases, and metadata creation.
- Solid understanding of cartography, coordinate systems, and spatial analysis techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
