ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Applicant to have a knowledge and proficiency in 2D drawing Layouts and 3D Modeling in Various Software Platforms Including but not limited to Solidworks, Solidworks PDM, Autocad Newer Releases (I.E Release 2013 and newer) including LT version, Sigmanest Nesting Software.
- Responsible for drawing layouts for new product and updating current layout for continuous improvement.
- Responsible for maintaining Bill of materials for accuracy.
- Responsible for assigned engineering projects
- Analyze Truck Bed requirements, develop solutions, and perform technical calculations supporting design. Solutions shall consider machine performance and task timing before implementation.
- Provide 3D modeling in SolidWorks of all solutions developed. Ensure designs can be manufactured using readily available manufacturing processes.
- Create accurate Bills of Material documentation.
- Selection of appropriate materials and processes for custom parts.
- Identification and selection of technology and off the shelf solutions that can be implemented to achieve the design goals.
- Mechanical design of customized solutions including Truck Bed sizing, Custom Quoting, and BOM Accuracy.
- Tracking of project spend as compared to provided project budgets.
- Assist in the bring-up of Truck Beds to effectively identify issues, determine root cause, and quickly develop resolutions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
- 2-5 years related job experience.
- Proficient in Auto-CAD, SolidWorks, software, and MS Office suite.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of mechanical design and its application

- Certified Solidworks Professional is not required but highly applicable.
