PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Utility Superintendent is responsible for all daily field jobsite related activities such as overall crew safety, coordination, project goals, attendance, project cost savings, and quality of work performed on one or more project sites, depending on scope and scale of work in progress. Superintendent works closely with management staff regarding all aspects of the project. They also communicate regularly with Project Management and Executive Officers, requesting support and taking direction as necessary to ensure successful project delivery. Must be able to maintain relationships with Municipalities, Owners, Clients, Consultants, Subcontractors, and Vendors. Daily Crew Meetings are conducted to promote the Company's Vision, Mission, and Core Values. Superintendent shall keep project progress and production ahead of schedule, coordinating deliveries, equipment, crew, and materials continuously to facilitate the best possible outcome for the Contractor and Client.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- 5-Years of Superintendent Experience in Heavy Civil Utilities
- 10-Years of Hands-On Experience in Heavy Civil Construction
- Safety - Must demonstrate strong dedication to safety culture
- Quality - Must maintain the highest quality standards for clients
- People - Must be able to lead people and build successful crew
- Hardworking, self-motivated individuals encouraged to apply
- Capable of leading and training new crew members
- Resume with Job History and References upon request
- Experience with iPad/iPhone and/or other electronics
- Bilingual English & Spanish (written and verbal)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Project Safety and Safety of Crew Members
- Install Wet Utilities, Water, Sewer, and Storm
- Advanced knowledge of all trade disciplines
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications
- Ensure compliance with Trench Safety Plans
- Promote and grow a positive safety culture
- Maintain all safety certifications as required
- Conduct Site Daily Safety & Crew Meetings
- Attend or Schedule Pre-Activity Meetings
- Maintain a positive work/crew atmosphere
- Manage daily field tasks to meet milestones
- Meet two week look ahead project goals
- Proactively identify issues and facilitate solutions
- Verify all work is installed in a safe, quality manner
- Minimize punch list items to ensure timely completion
- Maintain daily admin such as timecards and field reports
- Ensure compliance with all OSHA job site safety requirements
- Maintain Project As-Built Drawings (Red-Lines) in the field
- Ensure equipment maintenance inspections are performed
- Other duties as assigned or as necessary
LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:
- Driver’s License (mandatory)
- OSHA Trench Safety Competent Person
- Others as may be applicable
