CME’s Accounting Department is looking to add an Accounts Payable Clerk to our branch in Warwick, RI.
Responsibilities:
- Record payable transactions, including verifying, classifying, and processing vendor invoices.
- Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor payable ledger to monthly vendor statements
- Research and resolve discrepancies
- Facilitate payment of invoices due by sending reminders and interfacing across departments.
- Assist with month end accruals
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as Accounts Payable Clerk.
- Basic computer skills including familiarity with the Microsoft office products
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experienced working in a dynamic fast-paced work environment
- Team player who can effectively interact with management and collaborate with other departments in the organization
- Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality
Physical requirements:
· This position is required to go into the office located on the second floor
· Ascending or descending exterior/interior stairwells and ramps (no elevator access)
· Remaining in a stationary position standing or sitting for prolonged periods
· Light work that may include moving objects up to 15 lbs.
· The ability to safely move about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workstation to another.
