Job Summary
The Scheduler Coordinator assists the physicians and others in providing direct patient care in the Clinics. Answer the phones in a polite, courteous and professional manner. Greet patients and gather pertinent information (i.e., PCP, pharmacy, e-mail, phone numbers, transition of care, etc.), Schedule appointments in eCW within the guidelines and preferences of each doctor and prepare schedules (blocks, vacation, etc.). Print visit summaries. Enter telephone encounters for electronic record of telephone messages and assign appropriately. Print and send schedules to required personnel. Request and respond to P2P requests and referral notes. Assist as requested with chart preparation. Provide patient instructions or send out questionnaires as requested. Assist in scheduling labs, imaging and referrals. Follow and comply with departmental policies and procedures. Other routine duties as assigned (filing, typing, printing reports, forms, etc.).
Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent required; knowledge and experience with computer programs required; clinic experience preferred.
