Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Bridges Crisis Unit Coordinator, Adult Mental Health Services (AMHS), provides a supportive atmosphere for consumers, responds to emergency situations and monitors program activity. Provides assistance to clinicians and interacts with consumers in a short term crisis intervention program. Must be able to problem solve crisis situations and intervene with consumers both individually and in group settings. Candidate is responsible for obtaining and sharing information with therapists in the CMHA-CEI system. Candidate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and secure environment. This position involves preparing meals for up to 16 residents.
Requirements: Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D. required. Six months of experience working with persons with emotional impairments is required. May be required to work CMHA-CEI observed holidays. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both orally and in writing is required. Possession of a Valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a criminal background check (including fingerprinting), a physical exam, and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass a physical exam annually and have a negative TB test every three years. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.
Location: Lansing, Michigan
Salary & Schedule: $20.21 - $21.82 Hourly. Friday 4pm-12:30am, Saturday 2pm-12:30am, Sunday 2pm-12:30am.
