Job Overview
CMIT Solutions is seeking a dedicated and organized IT Security Programs Coordinator provides administrative support and coordination for our security compliance, vulnerability management, and audit response programs. This entry-level position focuses on maintaining security systems, tracking deliverables, and ensuring workflow completion across multiple teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
System Administration:
- Maintain and monitor security platforms including Vonhai penetration testing and Nodeware vulnerability scanning systems
- Ensure systems are properly configured and up to date
- Generate regular reports and maintain documentation
- Track license usage and renewals
- Coordinate with vendors for technical support needs
Program Coordination:
- Track and coordinate cybersecurity insurance audit responses
- Maintain audit evidence collection schedules and documentation
- Monitor SOX/SOC2 compliance deliverables
- Create and maintain status reports for various security initiatives
- Schedule and coordinate necessary meetings between teams
- Follow up on outstanding items and escalate delays as needed
Process Support:
- Assist with basic L1 security alert monitoring
- Maintain security documentation and process workflows
- Create and update standard operating procedures
- Track security tool usage and adoption metrics
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in IT, Business Administration, or related field
- 1-3 years experience in IT or security field
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- Security certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with tracking systems and project management tools
- Familiarity with security concepts and terminology
- Experience in a managed service provider environment
Reports to: Security Operations Manager Works closely with: Security Administrators, MSOPS team, Client Account Managers
This role offers an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in cybersecurity while supporting critical security operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and eager to learn about security operations and compliance. Training will be provided on all systems and processes, with mentorship from senior security staff including CISSP-certified team members.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
