About the Role - We are seeking a Director of Social Services (DSS) for our SNF in Staten Island, New York, to oversee and manage all social work services provided to residents.
Responsibilities
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the social work team, including social workers and social services staff.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate social work policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidelines and facility standards.
- Coordinate with medical, nursing, and other departments to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York.
- 2 years of experience in nursing leadership or management, preferably in a SNF setting.
Required Skills
- Experience as a Director of Social Services (DSS).
- Positive attitude and operational expertise.
- Compassionate and skilled in providing care.
Preferred Skills

Pay range and compensation package - Compensation: $85,000 - $100,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term and short-term disability insurance, and 401K with a match program. PTO.
