Position Description:
We are looking for a dedicated MDS Director for our Skilled Nursing Facility ( SNF ) in Jamaica, New York. This is a full-time, in-person position, Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
Qualifications of the MDS Director:
Valid Registered Nurse ( RN ) or Licensed Practical Nurse ( LPN ) license in New York.
Strong knowledge of MDS 3.0, RAI process, and PDPM reimbursement.
Understanding of case mix, skilled services, and state regulations.
Ability to lead the MDS team, ensure accuracy, and optimize reimbursement.
Experience with PointClickCare (PCC) or similar systems.
Responsibilities of the MDS Director:
Ensure timely and accurate completion of MDS 3.0 assessments in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Monitor PDPM, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement to optimize facility revenue.
Maintain compliance with CMS guidelines, RAI processes, and quality measures.
Train and support staff in MDS documentation, coding, and care planning.
