What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full-Time Crisis Intervention Specialist position at CMSU Behavioral Health and Developmental Services?
CMSU Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, a Trauma Informed Care Center recognized by The Behavioral Health Alliance of Rural Pennsylvania (BHARP), is looking to add to its Crisis Intervention team (County Casework 3). Staff provide mobile and telephone services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crisis. Individuals in these roles need to possess strong interpersonal skills, time management skills and verbal/written communication. This position will provide de-escalation, safety planning, suicide assessment, service referral and attempt diversion from more restrictive levels of care when clinically appropriate. CMSU strives to provide a flexible, team driven atmosphere for all staff. On day one of employment, CMSU’s employees begin earning paid vacation and sick time. In addition to vacation and sick time, CMSU provides four (4) personal days per year and 15 paid holidays. CMSU also provides health, dental and vision insurance to its staff. Tuition reimbursement for graduate and undergraduate courses both in-person or on-line is also available. CMSU staff also qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF).
