POSITION TITLE: Document Controller
Job Summary: The individual selected for this role will serve as a member of the Document Control Team for the Key Bridge Rebuild Project in the Baltimore area.
Positions will be based out of the Kiewit office in Hanover Maryland with the anticipation of transitioning to a field office in Baltimore, MD in the near future.
DUTIES:
- Support and assist the management of engineering documents in accordance with government regulations and company procedures on various projects.
- Responsible for processing internal and external distribution of engineering documentation on incoming and outgoing workflows, and preparing transmittals for document distribution, as directed.
- Other duties include reviewing and/or conducting quality checks of documents, as needed; configuring, updating and maintaining engineering document management systems and permissions; updating and maintaining various distribution matrixes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information management, information technology, data management, or computer information systems is preferred, though not required.
- 1 years' experience, requires advanced knowledge of operational procedures and tools obtained through extensive work experience.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite• Excellent written and oral communication skills• Detail oriented with effective organization and coordination skills
- Ability to:
- Identify and utilize the correct tools, systems and techniques to index, file and control engineering documents
- Remain flexible when dealing with changing requirements
- Multi-task and work proactively to resolve issues
- Work independently
- Effectively collaborate with others in a team-based environment
